Lessons:

Lessons to begin with are all about learning to play basic chords and chord progressions to actual songs.
You can learn either one of your favourite songs or a song chosen by Entertainment 88 which is suitable for beginners.
You will begin to learn to play with professional backing tracks. This is a great way to practice both timing and rhythm. Learning to sing and play is also a great option for learning timing and rhythm. This however is completely optional.

Emphasis on creating your own compositions is also encouraged. This is another great way to keep you passionate and excited about your guitar playing progress.

Some of the greatest songs ever written use only 2 or 3 basic chords and we can have you playing them in no time at all!

Entertainment 88 beginner’s guitar lessons include:

• Learning on Acoustic or Electric guitar (please bring your own guitar)
• Posture, tuning, plectrum holding
• Basic chords – major, minor
• Learn to play one of your favorite songs or practice using one of Entertainment 88′s popular song choices for beginners
•  Play along with professional backing tracks and/or play and sing (optional)
•  Strong emphasis is on rhythm guitar and confidence building
•  Basic scales and introduction to improvisation and lead guitar

As you progress at your own pace Entertainment 88′s beginners guitar lessons will introduce, pentatonic scales, palm muting, barre chords.

Lessons are taught by Darryl. He is a multi-instrumental singer/songwriter, performer and composer.

Darryl is truly passionate about playing the guitar and actively seeks ways to install his enthusiasm into his students.

Darryl has performed all over the world as a guitar vocalist and is a successful songwriter who has written and recorded songs for many different artists and has had songs played on national television.

Darryl is an exciting, forward thinking guitar teacher who uses a unique, creative and fun approach to teaching guitar to beginners.

Darryl also runs the Artist development program at Entertainment 88. This program offers, songwriting, studio recording, Artist branding (music videos, web sites, photography, and graphic design.)

No matter what you want to achieve from your guitar playing whether you want to form your own band, write and record your own songs or just want to learn for fun to play the guitar to family and friends,

Lessons are taught to all ages starting from the age of 7 and upward.
